The DYNSTOCH conference builds a platform for researchers who are working on various topics of inference for stochastic processes. The focus is on the estimation, testing and prediction methods for complex dynamic models such as diffusions or branching processes. The developed statistical procedures are of interest for modeling and data analysis in finance, turbulence, neuroscience or hydrology.
The conference DYNSTOCH 2011 will take place in the German-American Institute (DAI) in Heidelberg.
The conference is sponsored by MATCH (The MAThematics Center Heidelberg) and Elsevier. MATCH concentrates on the core areas Topology&Geometry, Arithmetics&Algebra, Applied Analysis&Mathematical Modelling, Numerics&Optimisation, and Statistics&Stochastics and their applications to other disciplines. The main aim of the center is to support young researchers, to create synergies and to organise a conference& visitors program.
